10-260 Tuesday August 3rd at 4:26 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 3613 CR 115, Gilead Christian Church, for a fire alarm. Before units could respond they were advised that it was a false alarm and could cancel at 4:29 pm. 10-261 Wednesday August 4th at 2:07 pm Rescue 11 responded to I-71 mm 154 for an MVC arriving at 2:19 pm. Firefighters checked the vehicles and then returned to quarters at 2:40 pm. 10-262 Friday August 6th at 1:40 pm Rescue 11 responded to 5578 State Route 42 North for an MVC rollover into a utility pole. All occupants were out of the vehicle. It was noted that the support wire had been broken and was hanging over the neutral wire and voltage was detected on the truck. Firefighters moved the wire form the truck and taped off the area from bystanders. The scene was turned over to OSP and Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 2:16 pm. 10-263 Friday August 6th at 2:16 pm while enroute to quarters, Rescue 11 responded to 118 North Vine Street to assist Medic 1 with moving a patient from the house to the Medic. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 2:20 pm and returned to quarters at2:40 pm. 10-264 Friday August 6th at 2:34 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched MA with Station 39 for an MVC at the 146 mm. Rescue 11 responded at 2:34 pm and was cancelled at 2:37 pm returning to quarters at 2:45 pm. 10-265 Sunday August 8th at 3:34 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched MA with Station 39 for an MVC at the 145 mm on I-71. Before equipment could respond we were cancelled at 3:44 pm. 10-266 Sunday August 8th at 10:39 pm Station 19 was dispatched MA with Station 59 for an MVC on I-71 at the 158 mm. Rescue 11 went enroute at 10:50 pm and was cancelled at 10:54 pm returning to quarters at 11:01 pm. 10-267 Monday August 9th at 3:59 pm Station 19 was dispatched to wires down at 311 Lincoln Avenue. Brush 12 responded at 4:01 pm, arriving on scene at 4:25 pm finding a wire hanging across the roadway. Firefighters determined that the wire was cable and removed it from the roadway. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 4:27 pm. 10-268 Wednesday August 11th at 11:07 am Rescue 11 responded non emergency to 4466 Road 110 for a reported illegal burn. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 11:18 am finding a fire containing materials that are not allowed to be burned per the State EPA regulations. The fire was extinguished and the rules and regulations were discussed with the owner and his father. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 11:48 am. 10-269 Thursday August 12th at 3:25 pm Rescue 11 responded to an MVC at 4119 State Route 95 East at the First State Park entrance. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 3:27 pm finding two vehicles, one with light damage and the other with heavy damage. Rescue 11 disconnected the battery of the heavy damaged vehicle. The other vehicle was able to drive off the roadway. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 4:00 pm. 10-270 Friday August 13th at 12:27 pm Rescue 11, Engine 15, Tanker 24, Tanker 36 all responded to 5071 State Route 42 South for a possible house fire. As companies approached the area, there was heavy light colored smoke coming from the area. As firefighters arrived on scene at 12:30 pm they found a brush pile of burning pine in the back yard that was creating all the smoke. The owner was explained to call in when they are burning to avoid this type of response. All additional units were cancelled at 12:30 pm. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 12:50 pm. 10-271 Friday August 13th at 1:12 pm Rescue 11 responded to I-71 mm 151 for an MVC involving a semi and a pickup pulling a trailer. No one was injured in the crash, but there was severe damage to the pickup. Rescue 11 secured the vehicle and returned to quarters at 1:50 pm. 10-272 Sunday August 15th at 10:09 am Station 19 and Station 39 were dispatched to and MVC on I-71 at the 145 mm. Chief 101 was returning home from Church and was at the SR 95, I-71 interchange and responded to the incident. Chief 101 arrived on scene at 10:16 am noting that everyone was out of the vehicles and there was only minor damage to the vehicles. He advised to cancel Rescue 11 and continue Station 39 for the report. Chief 101 and Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 10:25 am. 10-273 Monday August 16th at 1:15 pm Rescue 11 responded to the 4886 Road 114 for an MVC involving one vehicle into an embankment. Upon arrival the driver could not be located. Firefighters assisted in searching and disconnected the battery. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 1:42 pm. 10-274 Monday August 16th at 3:53 pm Rescue 11 responded to the intersection of SR 95 and CR 110 for a two vehicle MVC. One vehicle sustained minor damage while the other was severely damaged with one victim. Firefighters secured the van and assisted with the patient. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 4:13 pm. 10-275 Tuesday August 17th at 1:21 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched MA to a possible house fire as the RIT crew. Rescue 11 responded at 1:21 pm and was cancelled at 1:25 pm when Station 39 units arrived on scene and check the house. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 1:33 pm. 10-277 Wednesday August 18th at 11:25 am while responding to an odor at 194 West Marion Street, Rescue 11 was diverted to an MVC at the intersection of SR 95 and CR 121. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 11:31 am finding a car on the highway with severe front end damage and a pickup truck in the deep ditch on the South side of the roadway. Firefighters disconnected the battery cables on the car and checked the pickup for any problems. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 11:40 am arriving at 11:55 am. 10-278 Thursday August 19th at 3:40 pm Rescue 11 was requested to North Main Street to assist Medic 1 with moving a patient from the Medic to the home. Rescue 11 arrived at 3:45 pm and returned to quarters at 4:06 pm. 10-279 Saturday August 21st at 3:55 am Station 19 was dispatched for a fire alarm at 6174 State Route 61 North. As firefighters arrived on station, dispatched cancelled due to a false alarm. No equipment responded. 10-280 Saturday August 21st at 16:05 pm Rescue 11 responded with Medic 1 and 9 for an MVC on I-71 at mm 154. As units arrived in the area, no crash could be found and all units were cancelled at 16:17 pm returning to quarters at 16:31 pm. 10-281 Tuesday August 24th at 11:50 am Rescue 11 was dispatched to 34 South Main Street for electric wires down on the sidewalk and parked cars. Recue 11 arrived on scene at 11:53 am and found that the wires had been pull down by a lift unit. The wires were live and had arched. A perimeter was set up to keep people out, but people ignored the Fire Line tape and walked through the area with the wires. Other people ignored the cones and tried to cross the street over the wires. The power company arrived on scene at 12:41 pm and cut the power to the lines and then cut the lines off at the pole. Rescue 11 left the scene at 12:56 pm returning to quarters at 13:03 pm. 10-282 Tuesday August 24th at 5:47 pm Rescue 11 responded to 6422 CR 104 for a CO check with symptoms. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 6:01 pm. EMS found a level of 5 ppm in one patient. The occupants aired out the home so nothing was found inside the home. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 6:17 pm. 10-283 Tuesday August 24th at 7:39 pm a strong odor of propane was reported at 5255 State Route 95 by Consolidated Gas. Rescue 11 responded at 7:41 pm arriving at 7:47 pm finding that the transport truck had just left after filling the tank. There was no leak just residual odor from filling the tank. It would be good if when people notice these things they check out the situation by stopping when there are people in the area. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 7:57 pm. 10-284 Sunday August 29th at 12:49 pm a fire alarm was dispatched to 555 Marion Road, Krogers store for a loading dock detector activation. Chief 101 responded to the scene, arriving at 12:52 pm. After talking with the manager the area was checked out and the detector in the loading dock area was activated. The system was re-set and the alarm went away. However, a DACT trouble alarm was found. The system company advised that this was not a problem and we should ignore it. Chief 101 left the scene at 1:02 pm. 10-285 Sunday August 29th at 12:59 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 830 West view Drive to assist Medic 1 with moving a patient from the mobile home to the squad. Brush 12 and Chief 101 responded to the scene. Chief 101 arrived at 1:03 pm and Brush 12 arrived at 1:04 pm. The patient was loaded into the squad at 1:06 pm and Chief 101 and Brush 12 returned to quarters at 1:11 pm. 10-286 Sunday August 29th at 3:33 pm Station 19 was dispatched MA with 1st Consolidated for a house fire at 1323 Rd 61 in Canaan Township as a RIT Engine. Engine 15 responded at 3:40 pm and was cancelled at 3:44 pm. Fire units on the scene found the fire was from an electric meter box and was quickly extinguished. Engine 15 returned to quarters at 3:54 pm. 10-287 Monday August 30th at 8:11 pm a fire was reported in the mulch along the building. The lady finding the fire put water on the fire extinguishing the fire. She requested that we check out the fire to be sure it was out. Brush 12 responded at 8:14 pm and checked the scene. Brush12 returned to quarters at 8:29 pm. 10-288 Monday August 30th at 8:29 pm Brush 12 was requested to 74 West High Street for a camp fire without a permit. Brush 12 arrived on scene at 8:30 pm finding a legal fire without a camp fire permit. The permit is required by the State of Ohio and the Village at no cost to the owner. It is only for information for safe use of a camp fire. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 8:37 pm. 10-289 Tuesday August 31st at 11:26 am Chief 101 was going to the Flying Horse Ranch to complete a sprinkler system pressure test when he was stopped at the entrance for a gas main leak. People from Consolidated Gas arrived on the scene within minutes and started looking or the shut off valve. The valve was finally located and the leak was shut off. Chief 101 returned to quarters at 12;58 pm. 10-290 Tuesday August 31st at 1:23 pm Rescue 11 was requested to assist Med Corp. Ambulance with moving a patient from the squad to the house on Road 27. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 1:42 pm, assisted with moving the patient and returned to quarters at 2:18 pm.
