09-221 Saturday August 1st at 2:31 am Engine 15 was dispatched MA with Station 59 for a boat fire at 7326 S.R. 19. The boat was at the back dock by the dam. Engine 15 was put on stand-by by chief 501. Firefighters remained on station until released at 2:48 pm.

09-222 Monday August 3rd at 9:17 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 335 Boundary Street in Edison on wires down. Brush 12 responded at 9:22 pm and found TV wires across the road. Firefighters pulled the wires back across the road and placed then at the pole. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 9:41 pm.

09-223 Tuesday August 4th at 2:32 pm Rescue 11 responded to assist Squad 1 with lifting on Dogwood Lane. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 2:33 pm and returned to quarters at 3:00 pm.

09-224 Wednesday August 5th at 11:02 am Rescue 11 responded to 48 East High Street for an emergency on the second floor. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 11:03 am and found the victim running across the parking lot. Firefighters detained the victim until City PD and EMS could assist the victim. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 11:30 am.

90-225 Thursday August 6th at 3:30 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to low hanging lines at 5259 US Rt 42 South. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 3:35 pm ad determined that the wires was a TV cable, and removed it from the highway. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 3:50 pm.

90-226 Friday August 7th at 7:17 am Station 19 was dispatched to 371 South Delaware Street for a fire alarm. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 7:25 am to find burned food in apartment 117. The fire alarm was reset and Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 7:34 am.

90-227 Friday August 7th at 10:45 am Rescue 11 was dispatched to 101 Home Road for a young boy stuck in a seat belt. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 10:49 am finding a boy with the belt twisted around his waist. The boy was experiencing more pain and so firefighters cut the seat belt to free the boy. An impression of the belt buckle was on the boys side. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 10:56 am.

09-228 Saturday August 8th at 4:58 am Engine 15 was dispatched to 4335 Road 23 MA with Station 39 for a working house fire. Engine 15 arrived on the scene at 5:14 am and was directed to attack the fire from the east (“C” side) of the structure. It was suspected that there were multiple people in the home. About 3 hours into the operation the residents of the home were located. Engine 15 remained on the scene until released by Chief 302 at 11:02 am returning to quarters at 11:15 am.

09-229 Saturday August 8th at 9:48 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with Station 29 for a possible structure fire at 2932 Road 24. Firefighters arrived on the scene and determined that this was a controlled burn canceling all incoming equipment at 9:52 pm. Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 9:52 pm.

09-230 Sunday August 9th at 7:35 pm Rescue 11 responded to I-71 mm 151 ½ for an MVC. Engine 30 from Chesterville (Marengo FD) responded and arrived on the scene at 5:48 pm advising the it was a non-injury MVC with no leaks and cancelled Rescue 11. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 6:05 pm.

09-231 Monday August 10th at 1:04 am Station 19 was dispatched to 651 Marion Road, Morrow County Hospital, for lifting assistance. Firefighters driving their own vehicles responded to assist at 1:08 am. Firefighters assisted and left MCH at 1:30 am.

09-232 Monday August 10th at 12:50 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to 5668 Road 105 for a fire alarm. Rescue 11 imm3ediately and was cancelled with a call back for a false alarm. Rescue 11 cancelled at 12:56 pm.

09-233 Tuesday August 11th at 11:37 am Rescue 11 responded to 5001 Road 116 for an activated fire alarm. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 11:42 am. Met with the homeowner and could not find why the alarm tripped. The alarm company was in the area and checked the system. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 12:05.

09-234 Tuesday August 11th at 8:49 pm Brush 12 responded to 197 South Main Street for a gasoline leak. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 8:54 pm and contained the situation, and absorbed the spilled fuel. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 9:16 pm.

09-235 Wednesday August 12th at 10:21 pm Station 19 was dispatched to the new Drug Mart for overheated coolers. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 10:29 pm. It was determined that the coolers defrost circuit had malfunctioned causing the high temperature inside. The electric circuit breakers were tripped shutting off the electric to the coolers eliminating the problem. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 11:31 am.

09-236 Thursday August 13th at 4:06 am Rescue 11 and Engine 30 responded to a vehicle fire at the 151 mm on I-71. Engine 30 arrived on the scene at 4:16 am and proceeded to attack the fire. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 4:22 am. The fire was contained at 5:01 and all equipment returned to quarters at 5:13 am.

09-237 Thursday August 13th at 3:14 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 327 South Delaware Street for a victim stuck on a roof. Rescue 11 and Tower 18 responded at 3:16 pm and was cancelled at 3:17 pm due to the victim came down form the roof. All equipment returned to quarters at 3:17 pm.

09-238 Friday August 14th at 12:25 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to the corner of Rich and West Union Street for a two car MVC. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 12:28 pm and found it to be a non injury MVC. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 12:33 pm.

09-239 Friday August 14th at 1:03 pm Rescue 11 responded to a fire alarm at 305 Iberia Street. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 1:05 pm. After checking the home it was determined that the steam from the shower and the heavy air that day caused the detector to activate. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 1:22 pm.

09-240 Monday August 17th at 5:19 am Station 19, 29 and 59 were dispatched to a fire alarm at 555 Marion Road, Kroger’s. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 5:27 am and determined that the alarm was due to a broken strobe light in the receiving area. Chief 101 was able to silence the alarm and reset it. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 5:39 am.

09-241 Tuesday August 18th at 3:28 pm Rescue 11 responded to a lawn mower fire at 125 South Rich Street. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 3:30 pm assisted the owner with the extinguishment. It was determined that the fire was caused by an electrical short after the safeties on the mower. The loss was estimated at $300.

09-242 Tuesday August 18th at 9:03 pm Station 19 was dispatched to assist Medic 1 with a driver. Brush 12 responded at 9:08 pm meeting Medic 1 at 9:10 pm. Brush 12 followed Medic 1 to MCH to pick up the firefighter driver returning to quarters at 9:28 pm.

09-243 Wednesday August 19th at 12:01 am Station 19, 29 and 59 were dispatched to 555 Marion Road, Kroger’s) for a fire alarm. The same problem was indicated by the alarm system. The manager was notified that there would be a fine if the false alarms persisted. All equipment returned to quarters at 12:16 am.

09-244 Wednesday August 19th at 12:02 pm Rescue 11 responded MA with Station 49 for an MVC at 3776 Road 61. Rescue 11 was cancelled at 12:03 pm since Station 49 had units responding.

09-245 Wednesday August 19th at 12:05 pm Rescue 11 responded Fist Responded to 600 Douglas Street since Medic 1 was tied up on Road 61 and Medic 2 was responding from Cardington. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 12:10 pm and assisted the victim until Medic 2 arrived at 12:16 pm. Rescue 11 went in service at 12:26 pm.

09-246 Wednesday August 19th at 2:44 pm Rescue 11 was requested to respond with Medic 1 to Road 110 for an unconscious/unresponsive person. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 2:49 pm. Rescue 11 went in service at 3:01 pm.

09-247 Friday August 21st at 9:05 am Station 19 was dispatched to a vehicle fire traveling South of St Rt 61. The caller was trying to get the attention of the driver of the vehicle with no success. Rescue 11 responded at 9:06 am and met the vehicle at 9:08 at 387 North Main Street. The fire was out, but the differential and area under the rear of the vehicle was extremely hot. Firefighters cooled the area and found that the fuel line and brake line were broken providing fuel for the fire. The situation was declared under control at 9:10 am.

09-248 Saturday August 22nd at 1:57 pm Brush 17 was dispatched MA with First Consolidated Fire for a grass fire on Roberts Road in Marion County. Brush 17 responded at 2:02 pm and was cancelled at 2:06 pm returning to station at 2:30 pm.

09-249 Saturday August 22nd at 5:21 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 5779 Road 9 to investigate an odor of hot rubber in the garage. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 5:31 pm and firefighters determined that the freezer compressor plug was melting. The unit was unplugged and the owner advised of the situation. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 6:00 pm.

09-250 Tuesday August 25th at 9:23 pm Station 19 was dispatched to assist Medic 1 with a patient on the second floor. Firefighters assisted the patient to the squad and returned to quarters at 9:33 pm.

09-251 Saturday August 29th at 8:23 am Station 19 was dispatched to a fire alarm at 715 Baker Street. Chief 101 responded direct to the scene and was met by the owner advising him that there was no smoke or fire. Chief 101 noticed that the smoke detector was located just outside the bathroom where the steam from the earlier shower had set off the alarm. The alarm was reset and Chief 101 went in service at 8:45 am.

09-252 Saturday August 29th at 9:16 am Station 19 was dispatched MA with Station 39 for an MVC at 6220 St Rt 95 in front of the Marathon Gas Station. Rescue 11 responded at 9:19 am and arrived on the scene at 9:28 am. EMS personnel advised that there were two victims entrapped in the vehicles. Chief 801 advised that Rescue 11 work on the Geo and Engine 30 work on the Suburban. The victims were extricated at 9:46 am. Two helicopters were landed at the scene to transport two victims and the third was taken to MCH. Rescue 11 was released at 10:15 am and returned to quarters at 11:00 am.
