09-166 Monday June 1st at 2:13 am Tanker 14 and
Engine 15 were dispatched MA to a working house and garage fire
at 103 East Main Street in Fulton. Station 19 equipment arrived
on the scene at 2:29 pm, set up RIT operations and was then used
as a suppression team. All Station 19 equipment returned to quarters
at 5:00 am.
09-167 Monday June 1st at 9:29 pm Rescue 11 was
dispatched to 112 Broadway Street in Edison for electric wires
in a tree and the tree on fire. There were multiple locations
in Edison where there were trees down. Ohio Edison and the village
maintenance crew were notified and Rescue 11 returned to quarters
at 12:06 am.
09-168 Wednesday June 3rd at 2:05 am Medic 1 requested
assistance with a woman down at 31 West Center Street on the
third floor. Fire fighters in their POVs arrived on the
scene at 2:08 am, carried the lady down from the third floor
and left the scene at 2:30 am.
09-169 Thursday June 4th at 8:13 am Rescue 11 responded
to 240 East Union Street to assist Medic 1 with an elderly lady
in the bathroom. Firefighters assisted with removing the lady
from the room to the squad. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at
9:05 am.
09-170 Friday June 5th at 3:18 pm Rescue 11 responded
to 504 West High Street for an MVC with injury. Rescue 11 arrived
on the scene at 3:21 pm assisted the squad, removed battery cables
and returned to quarters at 3:45 pm.
09-171 Tuesday June 9th at 4:22 pm Station 19 was
dispatched to an illegal burn at 5253 Road 128. Brush 12 responded
non-emergency arriving at 4:46 pm. The fire contained carpeting
and other illegal material and was extinguished. Brush 12 returned
to quarters at 6:10 pm
09-172 Saturday June 13th at 1:17 pm Rescue 11
responded to 6743 St Rt 61 North for a person hit by a car. Rescue
11 arrived on the scene and assisted EMS with moving the patient
from the field to the Squad. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at
1:42 pm.
09-173 Sunday June 14th at 12:53 pm Tanker 14 responded
MA with Station 29 for a working structure fire at 3801 Road
161. Upon Station 29 units arriving on the scene the fire was
down and Tanker 14 was cancelled at 1:02 pm. Tanker 14 returned
to quarters at 1:50 pm.
09-174 Monday June 15th at 7:37 am Rescue 11 responded
to the intersection of C R 20 and St Rt 95 for a two car MVC.
Firefighters assisted EMS with the patients and returned to quarters
at 8:16 am.
09-175 Monday June 15th at 12:34 pm Rescue 11 responded
MA to Station 39 for a one car MVC on I-71 mm 149. Rescue 11
arrived on the scene at 12:46 pm, assisted with the victim and
moving the vehicle from the roadway per the State Trooper. Rescue
11 returned to quarters at 1:30 pm.
09-176 Tuesday June 16th at 11:03 am Tanker 14
responded MA with Station 39 for a fire involving 3 barns. Tanker
14 arrived on the scene at 11:24 am, supplying water and was
released at 1:16 am.
09-177 Tuesday June 16th at 5:41 pm Station 19
was dispatched MA with Station 59 for a fire alarm at 6255 St
Rt 19.Chief 501 put Station 19 on stand-by until released at
5:5 pm.
09-178 Thursday June 18th at 12:32 pm Station 19
was dispatched to assist Squad 1 with moving a lady from her
apartment to the squad. All firefighters left the scene at 12:40
pm.
09-179 Friday June 19th at 7:25 am Station 19 was
dispatched to Maple Run Veterinary clinic for a fire alarm. The
fire alarm was caused by the lightning and rainstorm going through
the area. Assist Chief Young and Captain Young responded direct
to the scene while Station 19 stood by. All was declared clear
at 7:41 am.
09-180 Saturday June 20th at 12:54 am Station 19
was dispatched to 123 South Cherry Street to assist Squad 1 with
moving a patient from the home to the squad. All firefighters
returned home at1:09 am.
09-181 Saturday June 20th at 11:45 pm Rescue 11
was dispatched to an MVC at 101 West High Street in Edison. Squad
1 arrived on the scene and determined it was a non-injury crash
and cancelled Rescue 11.
09-182 Tuesday June 23rd at 8:23 am Rescue 11 was
dispatched to an MVC on I-71 mm 157 MA with Station 59. Rescue
11 arrived on the scene at 8:37 am. It was determined that he
door and roof need to be removed to access the victim. The air
bags had deployed on the drivers side of the car but not on the
passenger side. Firefighters pulled all the plastic trim to expose
the cylinders to carefully expose the danger points. The driver
side doors were removed and the roof was cleared to access the
victim. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 9:08 am.
09-183 Wednesday June 24th at 2:08 pm Rescue 11
and Engine 15 responded to a confirmed gas leak at 525 Marion
Road behind the old Pamida store. Contractors hit a line that
was not located by OOPS. This line was a 3 gas line that
runs around the store on the southeast corner. The shut off could
not be located by Columbia Gas personnel and the fire department.
Firefighters stood by with a charged 1 ¾ attack
line during the time Columbia Gas repair personnel could arrive
at 4:26 pm. Columbia Gas dug out the area so clamps would be
placed on both ends of the cut pipe. The leak was stopped at
5:06 pm. All equipment returned to quarters at 5:30m pm.
09-184 Wednesday June 24th at 6:24 pm Station 19
was dispatched to assist squad 1 with a non-breather at 440 Douglas
Street. Firefighters arrived on the scene and it was determined
that the patient was breathing and so firefighters assisted with
moving the patient to the squad. Firefighters left the scene
at 6:30 pm.
09-185 Thursday June 25th at 2:45 pm Rescue 11
was dispatched to an elevator emergency at 335 Park Avenue. Rescue
11 arrived on the scene at 2:48 pm and found the State Elevator
Inspector preparing to leave. He noted that he had contacted
the alarm company advising them that he was doing an inspection.
Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 2:53 pm.
09-186 Thursday June 25th at 8:02 pm Rescue 11
was dispatched to an MVC at the 151 mm I-71. Engine 30 responded
MA and arrived on the scene at 8:14 pm and advised that there
was nothing to do and cancelled Rescue 11. Rescue 11 returned
to quarters at 8:26 pm.
09-187 Friday June 26th at 9:44 pm Station19 was
dispatched to a reported illegal burn at 4445 road 101. Brush
12 arrived on the scene at 9:57 pm finding a pile of illegal
materials on fire. The owner was advised that the fire needed
to be extinguished by him or by us. The owner extinguished the
fire. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 10:24 pm.
09-188 Saturday June 27th at 7:15 am Rescue 11
responded MA with Station 39 for an MVC at the 148 mm I-71. It
was determined that the MVC was a non-injury and then Rescue
11 was cancelled at 7:26 am, returning to quarters at 7:34 am.
09-189 Sunday June 28th at 11:58 am Station 19
and 29 were dispatched to 325 West High Street for a fire in
the oven that would not go out. Rescue 11 and Engine 15 responded
at 12:03 pm and arrived on the scene at 12:04 pm. The fire was
out upon arrival, so Engine 20 from Cardington was cancelled.
All units returned to quarters at 12:13 pm.
09-190 Tuesday June 30 that at 10:30 pm Engine
15 and Tanker 14 responded MA with Station 59 for a possible
house fire at 6185 State Route 19. A SO unit arrived on the scene
and advised that there was no fire, that someone had lit the
grill and that there was a big flame. Someone had seen and reported
as a house fire. All units were cancelled at 10:36 pm returning
to quarters at 10:40 pm.
