09-057 Monday March 2nd at 11:46 am Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 were dispatched MA to 3527 Iberia Alley in Iberia for a working house fire. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 11:57 am and set up the RIT crew for the fire. After the fire was brought under control firefighters assisted in overhaul. Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 1:06 pm.

09-058 Monday March 2nd at 3:20 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to State Route 95 with Squad 1 for a possible non-breather. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 3:37 pm and assisted with the victim. A firefighter drove the squad and the Medic 9 vehicle to MCH. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 4:07 pm.

 

09-059 Monday March 2nd at 4:03 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched to 3527 Iberia Alley in Iberia for a rekindle. Tanker 14 was cancelled at 4:13 pm returning to quarters at 4:19 pm.

 

09-060 Monday March 2nd at 5:10 pm Station 39 with Station 29 and 19 were dispatched to a working mobile home fire at 5623 Road 191. Engine 30 arrived on the scene at 5:21 pm. Engine 23, Tanker 24, Engine 15 for the RIT, Tanker 14 and Engine 382 were all dispatched to the scene. Engine 15 and Tanker 14 was released at 6:51 pm. All Station 19 equipment returned to quarters at 7:20 pm. After cleanup firefighters left the station at 8:00 pm.

 

09-061 Tuesday March 3rd at 9:21 pm Tanker 14 and Engine 15 responded MA with Station 49 for a working house fire at 4987 Road 31. Tanker 14 supplied water and Engine 15 supplied a RIT crew and then a suppression crew. Engine 15 and Tanker 14 were released at 11:08 pm returning to quarters at 11:44 pm.

 

09-062 Wednesday March 4th at 12:00 noon Station 19 was dispatched to stand-by for Station 49 for a rekindle at 4987 Road 31. Companies were released at 12:18 pm.

 

09-063 Wednesday March 4th at 12:56 pm Rescue 11 and Brush 12 were dispatched to a grass fire at 3050 SR 95 West of Edison. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 1:00 pm. The fire was put under control at 1:21 pm. All equipment returned to quarters at 1:32 pm.

 

09-064 Thursday March 5th at 12:15 pm Rescue 11 and Squad 1 were dispatched to an MVC rollover at 4920 Road 101. Rescue 11 and Squad 1 arrived on the scene at 12:22 pm. The vehicle was on the driver side in the ditch. The driver was out of the vehicle. Firefighters found the battery and disconnected it to eliminate the hazard of fire. All equipment returned to quarters at 12:54 pm.

 

09-065 Thursday March 5th at 3:03 pm Brush 12 and Tanker 14 were dispatched MA with Station 59 for a large grass fire heading towards a woods. Brush 12 and Tanker 14 were released at 3:50 pm returning to quarters at 4:13 pm.

 

09-066 Thursday March 12th at 7:42 am Station 19 was dispatched to 338 Park Avenue for a fire alarm. At 7:46 the school called and advised that the alarm was a false alarm caused by the construction workers. No equipment responded.

 

09-067 Thursday March 12th at 12:55 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 10 responded to an MVC on I-71 mm 154 for a car into a guardrail. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 1:07 pm, assisted EMS with the patients, and disconnected the battery. All equipment returned to quarters at 1:30 pm.

 

09-068 Friday March 13th at 2:26 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to an MVC at 544 West High Street in Edison. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 2:31 pm. Firefighters disconnected the battery and directed traffic until OSP arrived on the scene. Rescue 11 was dispatched to a second MVC at 3:01 pm.

 

090-069 Friday March 13th at 3:01 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to an MVC at 47 South Main Street for a car into a pole on the North West corner of the square. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 3:06 pm and assisted squad 1 and 2 with the patients. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 3:30 pm.

 

090-070 Saturday March 14th at 7:59 pm Rescue 11, Brush 12, Tanker 14 and Brush 52 were dispatched to 6721 Township Road 238 for a grass fire out of control. Fire units arrived on the scene at 8:15 pm extinguishing the fire by 8:29 pm. All units returned to quarters at 8:43 pm.

09-071 Saturday March 14th at 10:33 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with Station 29 for a chimney fire at 3024 road 25. Cardington firefighters arrived on the scene at 10:47 canceling Tanker 14. Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 11:01 pm.

 

09-072 Sunday March 15th at 11:24 am Brush 12, Tanker 14 and Brush 17 were dispatched MA with Station 49 for a grass fire at 7200 St Rt 61 North. Units arrive don’t he scene at 11:31 am extinguishing the fire at 1:20 pm. Station 19 units returned to quarters at 1:27 pm.

 

09-073 Sunday March 15th at 3:50 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 5270 C R 98 for a field fire. Firefighter Kunze who lives on township road 117 noticed the smoke and went to investigate finding a large field fire. Firefighter Kunze called fire control to report the fire at 3:50 pm. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 4:01 pm locating the extent of the fire. The ground was so soft that Brush 12 became stuck. Lieutenant McKinney went to his father’s farm and brought a tractor back and pulled Brush 12 around the field extinguishing the fire. Many firefighters using brooms and water cans extinguished several acres of the fire. The fire had burned a gas hose in half at the oil well tank battery. The fire had stated from a person setting several small logs on fire in a garden with dried grass. The fire extended into 3 fields before it was brought under control. Fire fighters remained on the scene until 5:42 pm. All units returned to quarters at 6:18 pm. Clean up was completed by 7:00 pm.

 

09-074 Sunday March 15th at 5:44 pm as Brush 12, Tanker 14 and Brush 17 were returning to quarters three (3) fires were noticed on road 109 in wooded areas. There was no one attending the fires, so firefighters extinguished all the fires at 5:54 pm. All units returned to quarters at 6:16 pm. Clean up was completed at 7:00 pm.

 

09-075 Monday March 16th at 9:53 am Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 were dispatched to a State Truck fire on US 42 North. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 10:00 am bringing the fire under control at 10:26 am. All units returned to quarters at 10:34 am.

 

09-076 Monday March 16th at 9:57 am Station 19 was dispatched to a field fire at 3977 Road 24. Since Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 were on the truck fire Chief 101 requested Station 29 to respond to the fire. Firefighters arrived on station 19 and responded with Engine 10 and Brush 12 along with Brush 22 and Tanker 24. The fire was extinguished at 10:12 am returning all equipment to quarters at 10:19 am.

 

09-077 Monday March 18th at 3:30 pm Rescue 11, Brush 12 and Tanker 14 dispatched to a working field fire with exposures, houses and sheds. Station 39 arrived on the scene at Tanker 36 was on the scene at 3:43 pm and requested Station 410 for a Brush truck and tanker. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 3:51 pm and attacked the fire. Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 arrived on the scene at 4:00 pm. All firefighters worked to extinguish the fire until 4:23 pm when Rescue 11, Tanker 14 and Brush 12 were released to return to quarters. All Station 19 equipment returned to quarters at 7:01 pm.

 

09-078 Monday March 18th at 5:55 pm Station 59 and Station 19 were dispatched to a vehicle fire at 4595 road 77. Station 19 only had two firefighters available at the time and were then put on stand-by by 501. Station 19 was released at 6:24 pm.

 

09-079 Thursday March 19th at 10:23 am Rescue 11 was dispatched to an MVC semi rollover at the SR 61 and 42 split. A semi carrying rough lumber had its load shift causing it to rollover. Firefighters stopped all leaks of diesel fuel, antifreeze, engine oil and power steering fluid by using oil dry and absorbent pads. Firefighters moved some of the rough lumber to clear a path for Embarq to replace the broken pole. Firefighters remained on the scene until the wrecker turned the truck back onto its wheels at 12:36 pm.

 

09-080 Thursday March 19th at 3:51 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to State Route 42 just opposite the semi rollover for an MVC car into the back end of a pick-up truck. The driver of the pick-up was transported to MCH. Firefighters disconnected the battery of the car and returned to quarters at 4:18 pm.

 

09-081 Saturday March 21st at 7:55 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 101 Union Street in Edison for a CO check. Brush 12 responded at 8:04 pm arriving at 8:08 pm. The house was checked for CO with nothing found. Brush 12 returned to quarters at 8:25 pm.

 

09-082 Sunday March 22nd at 12:20 pm Brush 12 was dispatched MA with Station 39 for a grass fire at 6248 road 25. Brush 12 responded at 12:24 pm and was cancelled at 12:27 pm returning to quarters at 12:32 pm.

 

09-083 Sunday March 22nd at 4:47 pm Firefighters were dispatched to assist squad 1 at 700 Baker Street. Firefighters drove their personal vehicles arriving at 4:50 pm, assisting squad 1 and leaving the scene at 4:59 pm.

 

09-084 Monday March 23rd at 6:10 am Station 19 was dispatched to a fire alarm at 338 Park Avenue, Mt. Gilead High School. Chief 101 responded in his personal vehicle at 6:12 am to check out the situation since there is construction going on at the building. Chief 101 arrived on the scene at 6:19 am. Chief 101 and two school maintenance workers checked the building and found nothing. Attempted to silence the alarm without success. After several minutes, the alarm silence was attempted again with success. The system was successfully reset at 6:32 am. Chief 101 left the scene at 6:32 am.

 

09-085 Monday March 23rd at 1:08 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched MA with Station 49 for an MVC car into a tree. Squad 1 arrived on the scene and requested Rescue 11 due to the condition of the driver. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 1:15 pm, assisted squad 4 with the patient, a firefighter drove Medic 9 vehicle to MCH. Rescue retrieved their 4th firefighter and returned to quarters at 1:49 pm.

 

09-086 Monday March 23rd at 4:10 pm Station 39 and Tanker 14 were dispatched to a working structure fire at 5300 road 173. Station 39 units arrived on the scene at 4:20 pm and determined that it was a controlled burn that had not been reported so cancel all MA equipment. Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 4:32 pm.

 

09-087 Tuesday March 24th at 2:10 pm Station 19 was dispatched MA with St 29 for a grass fire at 4929 road 134. Tanker 14 was cancelled at 2:19 pm since St 29 had enough water to extinguish the fire. Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 2:27 pm.

 

09-088 Tuesday March 24th at 4:20 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with St 39 for a grass fire at 3362 road 170. Tanker 14 arrived on the scene at 4:33 pm, assisted with water for brush trucks and was released at 5:41 pm, returning to quarters at 5:54 pm.

 

09-089 Tuesday March 24th at 4:52 pm Brush 12 was dispatched for a grass fire on road 172 with St 39 and St 59. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 5:04 pm and was released at 5:41 pm returning to quarters at 5:53 pm.

 

09-090 Wednesday March 25th at 8:27 am Rescue 11 was dispatched to assist squad 1 with a possible non- breather on Marion Street. This turned out to be a false alarm. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 8:45 pm.

 

09-091 Wednesday March 25th at 2:45 pm Rescue 11 was dispatched to assist squad 1 with entry into a house at 194 West High Street. As Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 2:47 pm and then returned to quarters at 2:51 pm.
