09-304 Monday November 2nd at 4:09 pm firefighters were requested to 266 South Main Street to assist with a reported non-breather. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 4:13 m to assist. All firefighters were released at 4:49 pm.

09-305 Tuesday November 3rd at 12:56 pm Tanker 14 and Engine 15 were dispatched to 8761 St Rt 19 for a working shed fire. Unit 473 arrived on the scene and cancelled Station 19 equipment. Engine 15 and Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 1:07 pm.

09-306 Friday November 7 at 12:24 pm Rescue 11 responded MA with Medic 1 and 9 for a non-breather on Road 103. Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 12:29 pm and was released to MCH to pick up driver at 12:58 pm. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 13:15 pm.

 

09-307 Saturday November 7th at 9:32 am Engine 15 and Tanker 14 were dispatched to a working car fire on I-71 at the 151.5 mm. Engine 15 arrived on the scene at 9:42 am and found the front end of a 2001 VW bug fully involved in fire. The fire was extinguished at 9:52 am. An investigation was made and it was determined that he vehicle had a problem with the engine cooling system and that caused the engine to overheat. Engine 15 and Tanker 14 returned to quarters at 10:34 am.

 

09-308 Saturday November 7th at 4:33 pm Station 19 was requested to assist Medic 1 to gain entrance into 377 S. Delaware Street. Firefighter Carey unit 19-26 responded with the Knox Box key from Engine 15 to open the doors.

 

09-309 Saturday November 7th at 5:53 pm Station was requested to assist Medic 1 with a non-breather in Edison. Six firefighters responded in their personal vehicles to assist arriving at 5:58 pm. Firefighters were released at 5:58 pm to return to quarters.

 

09-310 Sunday November 8th at 7:20 am Station 19 was dispatched for smoke in the area of the High School by a citizen living on Iberia Street. Chief 101 responded in his POV to investigate and could find nothing on Iberia Street or around both school buildings. At that point 101 cancelled all equipment at 7:25 am. All firefighters were released at 7:39 am.

 

09 311 Sunday November 8th at 4:23 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 3947 Road 110 for an out of control grass fire. Assistant Chief 103 responded direct to the scene arriving at 4:28 pm and advised that the fire was under control and all units could cancel.

 

09-312 Sunday November 8th at 5:09 pm Brush 12 responded to Road 237 (Neal Avenue) for a grass fire along the road headed for the field. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 5:21 pm, extinguished the fire and returned to quarters at 5:35 pm.

 

09-313 Sunday November 8th at 5:53 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 15 were dispatched to 296 N. Delaware Street for a 2-car MVC at the intersection of Douglas Street. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 5:58 pm. Firefighters assisted the EMS crew with removing the patients form the vehicles and into the squad. All units returned to quarters at 6:28 pm.

 

09-314 Sunday November 8th at 9:17 pm Station 19 was dispatched to 4783 Road 116 for a residential fire alarm. Rescue 11, Engine 15 and Tanker 14 responded at 9:21 pm. As the units were responding the SO arrived on the scene and determined that there was no problem at this location and all units were cancelled. All units were in quarters at 9:27 pm.

 

09-315 Tuesday November 10th at 6:11 pm Station 19 was alerted of a possible illegal burn at 5325 Road 9. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 6:25 pm and extinguished the fire and advised the owner that the Ohio EPA burning regulations doesn’t allow open burning before 6:00 pm and after 6:00 am.

 

09-316 Friday November 13th at 4:24 pm Station 19 was alerted to a large column of black smoke in the area of Road 98. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 4:37 pm and requested Tanker 14 and Brush 17 to respond. The owner was trying to burn the remains of a house that had burned earlier in the year. The fire had trash and many items that are not allowed to be burned so the fire was extinguished at 6:32 pm. All equipment returned to quarters at 6:49 pm.

 

09-317 Sunday November 15th at 12:23 pm Station 19 was alerted of smoke behind the Morrow County Hospital to the West. Brush 12 responded to locate the source of the smoke and found a leaf fire at 5151 Road 126. The owner was advised of the burning regulations and the fire was extinguished. All equipment returned to quarters at 1:30 pm.

 

09-318 Tuesday November 17th at 2:03 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with Station 59 on a working Mobile Home fire at 196 Deer Path Way in Candlewood Lake. At 2:13 pm Engine 15 was dispatched for assistance. Tanker 14 arrived at 2:20 pm and Engine 15 arrived at 2:23 pm. Firefighters from Engine 15 assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Both companies were released at 3:02 pm and returned to station at 3:15 pm. Cleanup lasted until 4:00 pm.

09-319 Wednesday November 18th at 1:04 pm Rescue 11 responded to 222 West High Street apartment 3 to investigate an odor of gas. There was nothing found in the residence, but there is a gas company meter shack in the alley. Some times there is a release of gas from these structures. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 1:20 pm.

 

09-320 Wednesday November 18th at 3:07 pm Tanker 14 was requested for a house fire in the area of Nesbit Road and Roberts Road in Marion County. Tanker 14 responded at 3:11 pm and was cancelled at 3:14 pm returning to quarters at 3:20 pm.

 

09-321 Thursday November 19th at 10:59 am Station 19 firefighters were dispatched to 377 South Delaware Street to assist a patient until Medic 2 could arrive from Cardington. Medic 1 was already on a call. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 11:39 am.

 

09-322 Saturday November 21st at 9:20 am Brush 12 responded to 7080 Road 76 to assist Medic 1 with a patient. Brush 12 arrived at 9:37 am and was released at 9:55 am returning to quarters at 10:10 am.

 

09-323 Sunday November 22nd at 10:22 am Rescue 11 and Tanker 14 responded to 5788 St Rt 61 for a fire alarm. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 10:30 am and determined that it was a false alarm and returned to quarters at 10:33 am arriving in quarters at 10:40 am.

 

09-324 Sunday November 22nd at 2:25 pm Station 19 was alerted to a fire alarm at 371 South Delaware Street. Immediately dispatch cancelled the alarm stating that there was food burned on the stove and that there was no fire.

 

09-325 Sunday November 22nd at 7:16 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched to 135 West Walnut Street for some in the area MA with Station 29. At 7:20 pm Tanker 14 was cancelled and returned to quarters at 7:32 pm.

 

09-326 Wednesday November 25th at 3:36 am Station 19 was dispatched to 371 South Delaware Street for a fire alarm. Chief 101 responded direct to the scene and found that steam form a shower had set off the alarm and that there was no fire. All units were cancelled and Chief 101 left the scene at 3:47 am.

 

09-327 Wednesday November 25th at 6:50 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 30 were dispatched to I-71 mm 151 for a reported vehicle fire. OSP checked the area and found nothing canceling all units at 7:04 pm. All units returned to at 7:16 pm.

 

09-328 Thursday November 26th at 2:09 pm Rescue 11 responded to 475 Park Avenue apartment D10 for a fire in the oven. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 2:13 pm and found the fire out. Occupant was advised that if there were a fire in the oven, leave the door closed and the fire would go out. Opening the door allows oxygen to enter the oven and cause the fire to burn stronger. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 2:45 pm.

 

09-329 Thursday November 26th at 6:39 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 15 responded to the intersection of St Rt. 42 and County Road 9 for a two car MVC. The incident was found to be in Cardington Township. Chief 201 advised for us to continue since we were in route. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 7:02 pm.

 

09-330 Friday November 27th at 1:00 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with Station 49 and First Consolidated for and working house fire. At 1:10 pm Engine 15 was dispatched for assistance. At 1:51 Engine 10 was dispatched to assist. The fire was contained at 3:09 pm. Engine 10 and 15 were released at 3:09 pm returning to quarters at 3:22 pm. Tanker 14 remained on the scene until 3:35 when it was released.

 

09-331 Friday November 27th at 4:11 pm Brush 12 was dispatched MA with Station 39 for a grass fire at 6440 Road 25. Brush 32 was out of service. Brush 12 arrived on the scene at 4:29 pm and was released at 4:34 pm returning to quarters at 4:57 pm.

 

09-332 Saturday November 28th at 3:32 pm Tanker 14 was dispatched MA with Station 59 on a working house fire at 7505 Road 29 on Perry Township. Tanker 14 arrived on the scene at 3:51 pm and was released at 5:09 pm returning to quarters at 5:45 pm.

 

09-333 Sunday November 29th at 4:29 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 30 were dispatched for a two car MVC on I-71 at the 150 mm. Engine 30 arrived on the scene at 4:40 pm and Rescue 11 arrived at 4:41 pm. Firefighters made certain the there were no hazards with the vehicles and left the scene at 4:44 pm returning to quarters at 5:25 pm.

 

09-334 Sunday November 29th at 6:57 pm Station 19 was dispatched to an MVC at the corner of Orchard Drive and Marion Road where a car has struck a gas meter and there was a gas leak. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 7:07 pm and determined that the line was a residential gas meter and the shut off was in tack. The gas valve was shut off at 7:10 pm. Firefighters were putting equipment back on the unit when dispatched to another call.

 

09-335 Sunday November 29th at 7:18 pm Rescue 11 and Engine 30 were dispatched to I-71 mm 152 for a two car MVC. As units got closer to the original scene it was determined that the call was actually at the 157.5 mm. Engine 30 was on I-71 ahead of Rescue 11, so Rescue 11 staged at the on ramp until units arrived on the scene. At 7:32 pm Engine 30 canceled all units. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 7:50 pm.
